Dear Michelle,
I went to Dartington College of Arts from 1965-67, on the Dance/Drama course. Reading “Back Home” at seventy eight years, I was thrilled to read mention of Dartington School, which I recognised as soon as Staverton was mentioned. My spirits soared when Rusty finally went there. Dorothy and Leonard Elmhirst were still around when I was a student.
A unique and unforgettable place, which part of me has never really left. I still work as an artist in my studio. “In the world but not of the world”. Thanks for writing your books, loved by young and old alike.
Best wishes,
Nikki.
Dear Nikki
Thank you for your lovely comment and apologies for the late reply. I will pass this onto Michelle to read. I went on a 4 week summer school at Dartington and did an audition there which set me on the road to my professional singing career.
All the best
